Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Linda Sue Orrick, 80, of Holden MO, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025 and has been reunited with her beloved husband Paul F. Orrick and parents Arthur and Mary VanDusen.
Linda was born on August 29, 1944, in Independence, Missouri. She attended Van Horn High School and graduated in 1962. In 1972, she married the love of her life, Paul, and spent 44 years as a devoted wife until his death in 2016.
Linda was a spirited and fun-loving young woman and spent many years as a beautician, owning a salon in Sugar Creek, MO and then working at Dean’s Stylists in Independence, MO. She later began a career at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant and ultimately retired in 2014 as a receptionist for Centerpoint Physicians Group.
She inherited her love of Westerns from her mother, particularly Gunsmoke and any Audie Murphy western. The only thing she loved watching more was her cherished Chiefs and Royals, never missing a game.
Linda is survived by her children: Paul J and Holly Orrick, Andrea Guzman and Robert Stoufer; grandchildren Alexander Orrick, Mackenzie Orrick, Taylor Guzman, and Jada Stoufer; as well as her dearly loved dog, Mia.
Her family would like to thank Holden Manor Health and Rehabilitation and ACG Hospice (formerly Crossroads Hospice) for the love and care they provided Linda with and request that contributions be made to these organizations in her memory.
Andrea, I’m so sorry for your loss. I never met her but I know that she was so precious because of the beautiful person she raised you to be. Our hugs and our prayers are surrounding you and your Family. Becky and Tony Bakken
Sorry for your loss Andrea. You were a rockstar for your mother and took great care of her. I am sure she is truly appreciated and will be missed.
