Cecilia Louise Davis (Cece)

Called Home by God on June 28, 2025.  Cherished longtime companion of Mark Wenger. Much loved sister of Theresa (Harry) Schramm, Millie (Tom) Wears, and John (Cindy) Olmstead.  Cece was proceeded in death by her parents, Samuel Carter and Eleanor Jane (Ahern) Olmstead of Ballwin, MO; her brother, Paul, and her ex-husband Randy Davis. She was an aunt, a great aunt, and a friend to countless others.
Cece came to Columbia as a student and chose to make her life there.  She worked in grocery stores, first at Gerbes and then at HyVee, and was very proud of being able to work through the entire pandemic in that essential industry.  She did many beautiful needlepoint designs, and when she couldn’t do that anymore she did color by number designs.  Her biggest loves were the Coca Cola shows and train shows she went to with Mark, and she was an avid collector of all things Coca Cola, trains, and Tigger.
As was her wish, Cece is being cremated.  A graveside ceremony is being held at Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, July 9, at 11:00am.

CeCe and I worked together at Gerbes for many years. She was very kind, and always helped those in need. I always enjoyed hearing stories of her latest Coca-Cola memorabilia find, or of a trip she had taken to see a rare train. She was a sweet lady, who genuinely wanted to help people. The world needs more people like her.

Cece will be missed! I first met CeCe at Hyvee and remember our very first conversation (which lasted for nearly an hour). It was such a pleasure getting to know her over the years. She was an extremely hard worker and had the dearest heart. Her love for Coca-Cola and trains was so admirable.

Much positive healing energy for all those grieving her loss. She will be missed.

CeCe loved her friends at HyVee and her Coca-Cola Collectors Family. She always had a smile on her face and made many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Our condolences to Mark and family.
