Zelma Jane Bell, 74, of Lenexa, KS passed away July 10, 2025. Services will take place at 10:00am, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS.

Zelma was born on September 19, 1950, to Lizzie Mae and John Benjamin Robinson. Zelma was a proud native of Kansas City, Kansas. She attended Sumner High School, where she began forming the lifelong friendships and caring spirit that would come to define her life. Zelma dedicated many years to the Park Hill School District, where she worked diligently and ultimately retired. Her passion for helping others was unmatched—Zelma would give you the shirt off her back, always putting others before herself.

Zelma leaves to cherish her memory of her beloved children: Delisa Smith (Derek), Anthony Smith (Terri), and her twin sons, Keith and Kyle Emery. She was also a proud grandmother to many grandchildren, and a loving great-grandmother—each of whom brought her endless joy and pride. She is survived by eight loving siblings: Willie (Tee), John, Kenthedo, Randy, Rosa, Ruby, Gertrude (Trudy), and Jolane; a host of nieces and nephews; extended family; and countless friends who were touched by her generous and nurturing spirit.
