Faith Holly Klingensmith

Faith Holly Klingensmith, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, in the city where she was born and spent her life.

A proud graduate of Oak Park High School, Class of 1967, Faith pursued Medical Assistant training and dedicated her early career to the health care industry as a Medical Secretary. She later joined Cerner Corporation, where she served as an Administrator and later as a valued member of the Help Desk team until her retirement in 2007.

Faith was known for her quiet strength, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found joy in reading, cheering on her beloved Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, and spending time with her cherished daughter, Hope, and their cat, Baby Blue.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Verna McDonald; her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Preston Fryatt; and her nephew, Benjamin Kelley.

Faith is survived by her daughter, Hope Klingensmith; her brother and sister-in-law, Fredrick and Lorraine McDonald; her sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Jim Kelley; nieces Wendy Close, Tracey Atherton, and Heather Herrington; and nephews Eric Fryatt and Fredrick McDonald III.

In keeping with Faith’s wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to two of Faith’s favorite causes: the Children’s Defense Fund and PetSmart Charities.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
