Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Barbara Ann Jones, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on October 25, 2025, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born July 27, 1949, in Vancouver, Washington to Richard and (Opal) Geneva Black.
Barbara married Jeff Jones on March 27, 1987, in Miami, Oklahoma. To this marriage Barbara brought her two children Thomas and Jeaneen, whom Jeff adopted as his own.
Barbara was an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan and enjoyed going to games and watching them on TV. She was thrilled with both teams’ success and celebrated their victories with glee. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was rarely without a puzzle book nearby.
Most of all, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her husband, family, friends, and dogs. She had a great sense of humor and loved joking with everyone. She loved nature and wildlife and got the opportunity to visit many places that featured them both locally and internationally and enjoyed every minute of it.
Barbara’s grandkids and great grandkids were the apples of her eye. She absolutely doted on them. She always had faith in them and their abilities, and was always a safe place for them. She was ready with open loving arms, when they needed her.
She is survived by her loving husband Jeff Jones of the home, her brother Richard Black, son Thomas Jones (Brandi), daughter Jeaneen Delana (Neil), her 7 grandchildren Jessica, Megan, Allison, Andrew, Kendra, Danielle, and Molli, and 9 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles Black.
The entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10am to 12pm at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, MO. Burial will immediately follow at Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO.
