Elizabeth (Beth) Knott, 73, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.
Born June 8, 1952, in Monroe, Michigan, to Mary and Ewart Croskey, Beth was raised in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1970. She attended Olivet Nazarene University for two years before moving to Kansas City in 1975 to be near her lifelong best friends, Karen and Tim Holcomb-Densmore.
While working at L.M. Berry, Beth met the love of her life, Hubert “Carl” Knott. The two were married on February 12, 1978, and shared 36 wonderful years together before Carl’s passing in 2014. They built a beautiful life and family together, welcoming their son Patrick in 1979 and daughter Darla in 1982.
Beth’s caring nature and community spirit touched countless lives. From volunteering with PTA, Band Boosters, Girl Scouts, and church Caravans, to serving as the Belton School District Volunteer Coordinator, she was always there to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and cheer on her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, faith, and unwavering support will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Ewart Croskey; her beloved husband, Carl Knott; her brother, Raymond Ford; her sister, Ev Finn; and other cherished loved ones.
She is survived by her children Patrick (Rachel) Knott, Darla (Frank) Chastain, Kathy (Chris) Heckler, Thom (Denise) Knott, and Carleesa (Matthew) Duncan; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

Darla and family, please accept my deepest condolences. Losing a parent is never easy.
Your Mom was one of my best friends. I will miss her. Prayers to your families.
Darla, Frank and family
While I did not know Beth, I know Darla and her sweet and caring nature which she was raised in shows every day and is a testament to Beth.
May she rest in peace with no more suffering in Gods presence and with the “love of her life”, Carl.
You and your family are in our prayers
Darla, I’m so sorry for your loss. I pray that God wraps His arms around you and gives you the strength and peace that only He can provide. Your mother’s love will always live on in you.
Love you and your family!
So many happy memories with Beth. All our travels, meetings, sharing meals- she was a special friend. She will be missed by many.
Darla, although I only knew Beth for a couple years, I connected with her and I found her sweet and accepting nature so comfortable to be around. We enjoyed meeting places for lunch or dinner and always had good fellowship. We also were blessed watching Beth get baptized! I will miss my friend but know she’s home with Jesus! Rest well Beth.
So very sorry. I can’t even imagine the pain you all are feeling. Her sense of humor always made me laugh each time I saw her.
Beth’s Family
The HCBS Intake Unit would like to express our heartfelt condolences for your loss.
Beth was a team member at Intake for a few years prior to her retirement from the State of Missouri. During her time with the team, she made an impact on many people she worked with daily. She always had a good story to tell about her family or a proud grandchild achievement to share.
We were blessed to get the chance to know Beth and hope that she may rest in peace.

So sorry for your loss. She was a very special person in our lives and we will miss her. She was a strong support for me while I served on the School Board. I also had the privilege of working with her in the youth friends program.
