Stephen Theodore Hancock, 82, of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away November 26, 2025. He was born December 15, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Martha Maryalla (Johnson) and James Howard Hancock.
Stephen loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing the guitar, going to antique and flea markets, watching movies and football – “GO CHIEFS!”. While we are sad at his passing, his sense of humor and his ability to enjoy life will live in us forever.
Stephen is survived by his life partner of 29 years, Eydie Hamman; brother James Hancock (Judy) of Boca Raton, FL; ex-wife Nancy Hancock of Reading, PA; children Rob Hancock (Carolyn) of Lancaster, PA; Ted Hancock (Michele) of Henderson, NV; and Kim Garman (Doug) of Ashland, KS; bonus children Kelly Brown (Brad) of Emporia, KS; and Mark Hamman of Los Alamitos, CA; 14 grandchildren, 3 bonus grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 bonus great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
