In Loving Memory of Tung “Tom” Van Ngo Nguyen
(April 16,1946 – January 15, 2026)
With deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life well lived, our family announces the passing of our beloved father, Tung “Tom” Van Ngo Nguyen, who left this world peacefully on January 15, 2026.
Born in Hue, Vietnam, on April 16, 1946, he grew up with the values that shaped his entire life: resilience, devotion to his family, and quiet strength. After immigrating to the United States, he worked tirelessly for many years at Ford Motor Company and served proudly as UAW member in the Kansas City, Missouri region.
He enjoyed music, social activities with friends, travel and sweets. His family is proud of his military service and distinguished years as a provider to his large family.
He is survived by his children, Thi Nghiem (Chris Benson), An Lane (Jeff), Grace Schreur (Lon), Joyce Nguyen Hernandez (Darryl), Catherine Nguyenngo, Mary Le (Joseph) and Liz Meng (Ahn); his grandchildren, Julie Lane (Tim Ratliff), Ian Lane, Emily Epperheimer (Jackson), Phoenix Nghiem (Seth Welhoelter), Isadora Al Khalili, Kee Hernandez, Lia Hernandez, Marsha Schreur, Layla Meng, Marcus Meng, Emma Le, and Hudson Le; his great grandchildren, Bishop Lane, Lola Lane, and Violet Epperheimer; and extended family in both the United States and Vietnam who cherished him deeply.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory continue to guide us.
