Geraldine Perryman

Geraldine Perryman passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on November 16, 1938, in Lebanon, Missouri, and later made her home in Kansas City, Missouri, where she lived and raised her family. Throughout much of her life, Geraldine worked as a seamstress while raising her family.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and Burley Henson; her husband Clyde Perryman; her sons Fred Greenwood, Ronald Lee Sturdevant, and Allen Perryman; and her siblings Maxine Stephens, Wilbert Henson, David Dwayne Henson, Wayne Henson, and Aileen Henson.

She is survived by her children, daughter Ronda Bailey and her husband Glenn Bailey, daughter Connie Thomas and husband Mike Thomas; as well as her daughters-in-law, Tembra Greenwood and Patsi Perryman. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Henson, and her sisters Betty Kite and Barbara Huggins. Geraldine was also close to her numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Geraldine leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: David and Kimber Covington, Jeremy Greenwood, Lindsey Perryman, William and Jennifer Gash, Sarah and Nathan Skaggs, and Tyler Perryman. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

Geraldine was the touchstone of her family, and her home was always a gathering place filled with music, food, and laughter. She will be remembered for her strength, independence, perseverance, generosity, and spirited nature.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As she often showed by example, she lived life on her own terms, with strength and resilience.

Visitation will be 12pm, Friday, January 23, 2026, followed by funeral services at 1pm, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133. Burial will be in Brooking Cemetery.
