Linda S. Ninemire

January 4, 1952 – January 12, 2026

Linda S. Ninemire of Kansas City passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 74. Born Linda Munson to Marvin and Elizabeth Munson in the town of Atchison, Kansas, Linda was the oldest of three sisters. From an early age, she expressed a deep love for her family, sharing her strong moral compass with her sisters and guiding them towards a life of service to family and to God. Her greatest desire was to become a mother, and she welcomed two daughters, Jennifer and Karla, with her husband Dr. Karl Stark, into this world and immediately showered them with love, support, and plenty of matching outfits.

Linda was a devoted wife and mother, along with an active member of the Methodist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School. She went on to marry Patrick Casey and spent 17 years as his spouse and partner, building a small business together in Riverside, Missouri and traveling to Mexico and Ireland where they drank lots of Guinness and attempted to master the plentiful round-abouts. With Linda around, there was never a dull moment as she captured every bit of life with grace and humor.

In 2019, nearly two years after Patrick’s passing, Linda met Ron Ninemire through their dentist assistant. That dental assistant’s breaking HIPPAA laws to bring these two together was truly the hand of God. During the six years that Linda and Ron spent together, they celebrated life and love to the fullest, exploring Greece and Mexico, climbing the Acropolis in 100 degree temperatures so as not to miss a moment.

Linda Ninemire also traveled frequently with her friends Barb and Bob Wagner where they spent several weeks every February in Cabo San Lucas enjoying sand and sun and plenty of margaritas. Never one to turn down an adventure, Linda also cruised with her daughter Karla and climbed mountains in Colorado with her step son, Nate Ninemire, and his wife Karen and two children, Sam and Becca.

Other than her adventurous spirit and deep dedication to her family, Linda carried with her a solid love for those around her. She showed kindness to everyone around her, making everyone feel seen, loved, and understood. Linda showed up for everyone, every time, no matter what.

Linda Ninemire is survived by her two daughters, Karla and Jennifer, along with her son-in-law, Uriah, sister and brother-in-law, Merry and John Sims, along with cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

People will not remember what you say, but they will always remember how they made you feel, and Linda’s kindness will always stay in the hearts of everyone she touched. Rest in peace, Linda Ninemire, and join your beloved late husband, Ron Ninemire, in heaven eternally.

I met Linda when she came to NJ with her husband ,then Dr Karl Stark in 1984. I loved her from the moment I met her and her house always smelled of delicious baked goods, especially her Lemon Poppy cake! Our daughters were the same age, so we always did things together. RIP my Beautiful Friend Linda 😢
