Barbara Kay (Haynes) Dobbins, 76 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away and earned her angel wings, January 27, 2026. She struggled and suffered a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Barbara was born March 31, 1949. She was the only child born to Lester Courtney Haynes and Wilma Lorene (Martin) Haynes, of Clinton, Missouri.
She graduated from Clinton Senior High School in 1967. Upon graduation, Barbara went to work for Bendix / Allied Signal / Honeywell. While employed she obtained her degree in engineering and traveled extensively to various government facilities. She retired in 2000, after 33 years of service.
Barbara married Mick Dobbins, October 11, 1974. She did not stay retired long. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service from 2004 until 2011. Upon her second retirement, she and Mick moved to Goodyear Arizona. They returned to the Blue Springs, Missouri area after ten years.
Barbara was preceded in death by Mick and both of her parents. Barbara is survived by several friends and her beloved caregiver Brenda Wilson.
There will not be a visitation or funeral, per her request. A celebration of life for Barbara will be February 22, 2026, 1:00 to 5:00pm. 597 SW 1601st Road, Holden, Missouri 64040.

Barbara was such a sweetheart, with an infectious laugh!! I worked with her in the Drafting Department for 20+ years. We lost a good one. Rest easy, lady.
