Randall “Randy” E. Moore

Randall “Randy” E. Moore, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Blue Springs, Missouri, on January 31, 2026.
Randy was born on June 13, 1956, in Harrison, Arkansas. He graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri, in 1974. He married Tess (Seaton) Moore on April 13, 1998, and they shared 27 years of marriage. He was a dedicated and loyal worker, spending more than 20 years with Yellow Freight and most recently 2 years at Price Chopper. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and family man who deeply cared about everyone around him.
Randy found joy in the simple things in life. He was rarely not watching sports—any sport would do—but he especially loved baseball, football and NASCAR season. He took great pride in watching the Kansas City Royals win the World Series and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs during their Super Bowl victories. When he wasn’t watching a game, he could often be found sitting in the garage and tending to his yard, taking pride in keeping his grass just right. Some of his favorite memories were made spending time with his daughter, whether it was trips to the zoo or playing mini golf or the arcade. He especially looked forward to his annual Fourth of July trips to Arkansas, where he spent time with family and never missed a chance to put on a show with an impressive haul of fireworks. Afterward, he and his daughter would travel to Branson, making more memories through visits to museums, rounds of mini golf, and quiet afternoons sitting by the pool.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce (Taylor) Moore; his wife, Tess Moore; his stepson, Nathan Stierly; his daughter, Ciera (Moore) Moon, and her husband, Tommy Moon; his beloved grand dog, Maple; sister-in-law Marsha Moore; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Moore, and his brother, Craig Moore.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service celebrating Randy’s life at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 N. Liberty Street, Independence, Missouri 64050. All who loved Randy are welcome to attend.
Randy will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, love of family, and the quiet way he made everyone around him feel cared for. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
