Philip Smart

Philip Smart, 90, of Centertown MO, passed away peacefully on 02/15/2026 from Dementia. Philip was born on 11/29/1935 in Morah, IL.

Philip graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL. He attended two years of college at Bradley University, and then went into the Air Force for 6 years, and served in Iceland. Phil was a paramedic and went on to be the D.A.R.E. Officer in Cole County. He also worked as Capitol Police and then became the chief Marshall for the Supreme Court of the state of Missouri.

Philip was preceded in death by: his parents; Ralph & Rosie Smart, his daughter; Laurie Clemmons, his sister; Linda Meintz, and his stepson; Seth Sims.

He is survived by: his loving wife; Wanda (Connell) Smart, his son; Aaron (Kerri) Smart, his stepdaughter; Christina (Richard) Conn, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
