Duane was born on August 22, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised on a farm in Stockton, Missouri, where he learned the value of hard work at an early age. As a young man, he showed hogs and cattle through FFA and helped his family bale hay and tend to the farm. Duane built a successful career as a millwright and as a homebuilder. He had a natural talent for math and excelled at designing and laying out buildings. His skill, precision, and craftsmanship were evident in the work he completed over the years.

Outside of work, Duane had many passions. He loved participating in an archery league and even crafted his own arrows. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, finding peace and fulfillment in the outdoors.

Duane was previously married and had his only daughter, Angela. Later, at age 46, he married Delores and gained five additional children. Together, Duane and Delores shared a wonderful marriage filled with travel, laughter, games, and faithful church attendance. They cherished their time together and being with their family.

Duane will be remembered for his strong work ethic, sharp mind, steady hands, and deep love for his family.
