Thomas Jakobe

Thomas Jakobe, age 82, of Belton MO , passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026 from upper airway obstruction. He was born on May 16, 1943 in Kansas City, MO.

Thomas loved his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and being outdoors. He was always cracking jokes and ready to play a card game. He contributed to his church and spent his life serving others. Tom was truly a genuine individual.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Lota Ann Jakobe and his daughter Elizabeth Ann Jakobe.

He is survived by his son Jeff (Beverly) Jakobe; granddaughter, Daniela (Jeremy) Greene; grandsons, Blake O’Reilly and Jesse Jakobe; granddaughters, Abigail, Clara and Lillian Jakobe.

Funeral will be held at 11:00am on March 20, 2026 at St. Sabina, 700 Trevis Ave, Belton, MO 64012. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 10:00am.
