Gail Ruth Dowdle, 84, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 31 at 7:58 a.m.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Gail lived a life marked by deep faith, strength, independence, and love for her family. She faced life head-on with a persistent spirit and resilience. Gail will be remembered for her strong will and unwavering determination. Her life reflects a legacy of perseverance, independence, and love for her family that will continue to live on through them.
Gail was proud of her diverse career, working many years as an administrative assistant, in insurance sales, and later as a successful construction equipment salesperson. As a single mother, she embraced every role with determination to provide. Beyond work, she found enjoyment playing golf, swimming, and riding and caring for her horses and other animals.
She is survived by her son, Todd Hagemann; her daughter, Tammy Allison; her five grandchildren, Erin, Joel, Meg, Dylan, and Lauren; her 3 great grandchildren, Sutton, Brantley and Leighton; and her brother, Alan Barrick. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Barrick Kiesel, her father, Albert Barrick, and her sister, Linda Schow.
