Linda Lee Setser

Linda Lee Setser, 75, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, after an arduous and courageous battle with cancer.

Linda was born on August 24, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri. She lived a life defined by love, resilience, and an unwavering ability to bring light into the lives of those around her. Her kindness, humor, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Setser, who passed in December 2025; her parents, Robert Bedell and Frankie Stoltz; her brother, Mark Falke; and her son, Scott Setser.

Linda is survived by her devoted daughter, Sara Chapman of Lee’s Summit; her daughter-in-law, Mindy Ramirez-Setser; her brothers, Gerre Bedell (Amy) and Larry Falke (Marlene); and her cherished grandchildren: Logan Miller, Chase Chapman, Cooper Chapman (Whitney Wilhite), Grace Abercrombie (Taylor), Dominic Setser, Diego Setser, Chukwuka Willis, Whitley Willis, and Briggs Chapman. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love.

Linda had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, supported, and valued. Her warmth and strength created a ripple effect that will continue to be felt for generations. In her final wishes, she asked that those who gather in her honor find reasons to smile—a reflection of the joy she so freely gave.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Shenandoah Ballroom at the Gamber Community Center in Lee’s Summit. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial gathering from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All who knew and loved Linda are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.

There are people that leave footprints in people’s lives…and then there are those that leave footprints, the feeling of a hand being held, love given and wisdom shared. Linda didn’t miss an opportunity to do or be the latter. To be the recipient of such a person is a blessing. To someone that got to call her family…well you all had joy here on Earth.

I am so sorry for the heartache you are feeling. I am sorry for the separation (she is not lost…just separated) from you right now. The pain can be unbearable at times, but I hope you remember the joy. I hope you are filled with Linda’s joy and share it with others so that her spirit continues to move and be a blessing to others.

I am praying for you all and sending love.
