Markyta Ware

Markyta Marie Ware, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on April 18, 2026. A visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 PM, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM.

Markyta was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life. She was raised in Merriam, Kansas, predominantly by her grandparents, whom she is now peacefully reunited with. Her grandmother, Lydia Ware, was a guiding light and source of motivation in her life, alongside her beloved son, Jayceon.

She was a strong, genuine, and deeply real person, someone who spoke her truth and showed up as exactly who she was.

Above all, Markyta was an incredible mother. Her son, Jayceon, was the center of her world, and she poured her love, strength, and energy into raising him. He was always her first priority, and that love defined her life.

As an adult, Markyta grew into herself through resilience, love, and life’s experiences. She built meaningful connections throughout her life and formed lasting relationships wherever she went. She never changed who she was for anyone, and it was that authenticity that drew people to her and made her so deeply loved.

Markyta had a great sense of humor and a way of bringing light into the lives of those around her. She loved deeply and gave freely, always willing to help others, especially when she saw someone truly trying to better themselves. In later years, she found growth in forgiveness and was working toward rebuilding important relationships in her life, including reconnecting with her sister, Latosha.

She is survived by her beloved son, Jayceon; her siblings, Latosha, Monique, and Devin; her mother, Brucenia Ware; along with extended family and those who became family through friendship, including Heather, Jordan, and Kylee.

Markyta will be remembered for her strength, her loyalty, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.  She will live on through the love she poured into others and the lives she touched along the way.
