Dorothy J. Staggs (73) passed away on May 13, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
Dorothy was born April 4, 1953 in Kansas City Missouri to the late Betty and Woodrow Jett. She was the youngest to her brother Woodrow Jett Jr (Big sonny). Dorothy lived her life at home raising her kids and babysitting her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved cooking for her family on any occasion she could.
Dorothy is proceeded in death by both of her parents Betty and Woodrow, her brother Woodrow (Big Sonny) and her childhood sweetheart and husband Glenn Staggs Sr. Dorothy leaves behind her two kids Allen Staggs (Johnna) and Sunny Moffett (Phillip), her 5 grandkids and 7 great grandkids.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown MO. Visitation begins at 10:00am. Dorothy will be buried at Brooking Cemetery, Kansas City MO.
