Terry Lee Gates, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026. He was born April 29, 1941 in Fayette, MO.
Terry had a lifelong love of sports, especially basketball. Energetic and full of life, he never met a stranger and truly enjoyed making friends wherever he went. He had a deep appreciation for jazz music, loved attending concerts, and had a passion for classic cars. His lively spirit and warm personality will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children: Tony (Caroline) Gates, Terrance (Daphne) Gates, Stormy (Justin) Gates-Kilpatrick, Tammy (Michael) Gates-Jackson, and Carla Nash.
