Frances V Jackson of Raytown, Mo passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 at the age of 102, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, faith, and devotion that will live on for generations.
Frances was born on January 2, 1924, in Michigan Valley, Kansas to John and Lula Tucker. She had one sister, Betty Lou Majure, along with two brothers, Seldon Tucker and Robert Tucker, who preceded her in death along with her parents.
Frances was united in marriage to James E. Jackson on May 29, 1947, and they celebrated 48 years of marriage together before his death on November 8, 1995.
Frances lived a truly remarkable life. Spanning more than a century, she witnessed extraordinary changes in the world while remaining a steadfast source of love, wisdom, and resilience for her family. Throughout every season of life, she was the heart of her family—a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, cherished great-grandmother, and trusted friend.
Her greatest joy was the family she built with her beloved husband, James E. Jackson. She poured her heart into raising her children and took immense pride in watching her family grow with each new generation. Frances was known for her quiet strength, unwavering determination, and unconditional love. Even as the years brought life’s inevitable challenges, she continued to inspire those around her with her grace, perseverance, and deep devotion to her family.
To know Frances was to know kindness, loyalty, and resilience. She possessed a gentle spirit and a remarkable ability to make everyone feel loved and welcome. Her home—and her heart—were always open to those she cherished. The values she instilled—faith, integrity, compassion, and the importance of family—will continue to guide those she leaves behind.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Jackson; her son, Daniel Joseph Jackson; her daughter, Barbara Jean Johnson; her son-in-law, Ben Johnson; her son-in-law, Max G. Ehlers; and the many loved ones she held close throughout her long and beautiful life.
She is lovingly survived by her son, James “Chester” Jackson; her daughter, Peggy Ehlers; her daughter-in-law, Terry Jackson; her grandchildren, Amy Jackson, Dusty Jackson, Julie Jackson, Jennie Jackson, John Jackson, Justin Jackson (wife, Lauren), Meribeth Ehlers, and Megan Wymer (husband, Chris); her great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Hicks, Savannah Ronnau, Dravin Jackson, and Daelin Jackson-Carleton; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love.
While her family mourns the loss of their beloved matriarch, they also celebrate a life exceptionally well lived. Frances’ love, wisdom, strength, and enduring example will continue to be reflected in the generations she leaves behind. Her memory will forever be treasured, her legacy forever honored, and her love forever carried in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Services will be held on July 30, 2026, at The Ridge, 5055 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be held at 10:00, followed by the funeral service at 11:00. The burial will be held immediately following the service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ararat Shrine Temple Needle Guild in Kansas City, Mo.
