Michael cherished his family above all else, finding joy in simple moments like fishing and watching movies with his grandkids and greatgrandkids. He loved visiting the zoo, sharing stories about the animals and watching the kids’ faces light up with wonder. Each November, he looked forward to hunting trips with family, a tradition that brought him great happiness. Michael delighted in spoiling his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who lovingly knew him as Pappa, a name that captured the warmth and devotion he carried for them throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonia Lindquist; his son Michael Hamer; his grandchildren, Jessica (Michael), Sara (Jonathan), Jordan, Eric, and Jonah; his great-grandchildren, Kyla, Ella, Jax, and Jameson; his brother-in-law Bill and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Michael will be remembered for his devotion and love for his family, his ability to make family laugh, and his love for animals. He leaves behind many wonderful memories that will continue to be treasured by those who knew and loved him.
