Mary T. Neissl Strickland Kendall

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary T. Neissl Strickland Kendall, a beloved mother and friend, born in Paris, Arkansas, who departed this life in Leavenworth, Kansas, on Friday, September 4, 2026, at age 78.

Mary lived a life marked by quiet generosity and deep affection for those closest to her. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to volunteering, offering her time and energy in service to others. She held fast to the belief that “those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves,” and she lived that truth daily through her warmth, kindness, and steady presence.

Mary loved her children and her friends with her whole heart. Their company, their laughter, and the simple gift of time spent together were among her greatest joys. She is survived by many loving family members who will carry her memory forward.

Honoring her wishes, no funeral service will be held. Mary offered this as a final gift of time to those she loved – so that no one needs to feel obliged to gather. She gently requests your prayers instead.
