Connie Rae Anderson died on October 28, 2026, at her apartment at The Westbury Senior Living in Columbia, MO.
Connie was born on May 17, 1942, in Boonville, Missouri, to Richard and Maxine (Bremer) Jones. She attended Vandalia High School, graduated from Hannibal High School in 1960, and attended Central Methodist College.
She married Dan Deiter on August 25, 1962. They adopted a son, Daniel Marc, in 1968. She married Ron Anderson on November 28, 1975, and they shared more than 46 years of marriage. Ron’s U.S. Navy service began before their marriage and continued for more than 20 years afterward. During their years together, his tours took them to Italy, Singapore, and Guam—experiences Connie enjoyed tremendously. After Ron’s retirement from the Navy in 1997, they resided in Beaverton, OR until his death in 2022.
An excellent legal secretary, Connie retired in 2012. After living and traveling abroad, Connie and Ron turned to exploring the United States and enjoying quieter pursuits closer to home: crafts, tole painting, reading, and playing cards with friends. Her Beta Sigma Phi international sorority was also big part of her life.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Anderson; her parents, Richard and Maxine Jones; her brother, James “Jim” Jones; and nephew, Jason Anderson.
Connie is survived by her son, Marc Deiter of Columbia, and his wife, Vicki; her grandchildren, Lauren and Blake; and her brother-in-law, Bill Anderson of St. George, Utah, and his wife, Gail.
Connie will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Her family is grateful to the staff at The Westbury Senior Living for their care over the past few years.
In accordance with Connie’s wishes, no services will be held.
While assisting Connie I enjoyed discussing her travels and collected treasures. She was a very interesting and thoughtful woman. đź’•
