Starlet Carla Dawn Caldrone Guyll

Starlet Carla Dawn Caldrone Guyll, known affectionately as Star, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 18, 1953, Star was the daughter of the late John and Ruby Caldrone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Michael James Caldrone.

Star dedicated many years of service to the United States Postal Service, spending much of her career at the Raytown Post Office before retiring.

Quiet and independent by nature, Star enjoyed doing things on her own terms, yet she deeply cherished time spent with her family. Above all, being “Nana” was one of the most fulfilling parts of her life, and she especially treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren. Those connections and shared memories will be held closely for generations to come.

Driven by a lifelong curiosity, Star was always eager to learn something new. Whether teaching herself American Sign Language and Italian or researching a new topic, she embraced every opportunity to expand her mind. Her passions ranged from reading and science fiction to brain games, puzzles, sewing, crocheting, drawing, and various creative crafts. Throughout her life, Star also had a soft spot for animals and held a special place in her heart for all of her dogs over the years, leaving behind her beloved dog, Raven.

Star is survived by her sisters, Tina Fee and Tricia Hartley; her children, Cassandra Brooks (Joel), Angela Calvert (Bill), and Eric Guyll; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Seth, Elizabeth, and Rowan. She is also survived by her niece, Sarah Johnson (Kevin Miller); her nephew, Ian Fee; and her great-nieces and great-nephew, Josie, Isabella, and Eli.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Star’s life on November 15, 2026. Please contact a member of the family for further information.
