Rodney J. Teter

Rodney J. Teter, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2026.

Born on February 18, 1952, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Rodney lived a life filled with music, creativity, and curiosity.

Rodney had a lifelong passion for music and learned to play many different instruments throughout the years. He especially enjoyed playing in bands alongside his friends, sharing his love of music and the friendships that came with it. He was fascinated by history, had an appreciation for art, and enjoyed spending time exploring pawn shops in search of interesting finds. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Rodney loved his Harley-Davidsons, enjoyed working on them, and appreciated the freedom they gave him.

For most of his working life, Rodney was employed as an assembler at General Motors, where he dedicated many years before eventually retiring.

Above all, Rodney lived life with a love for the things that interested him, from music and motorcycles to history, art, and the simple enjoyment of spending time with friends.

Rodney is survived by his longtime partner, Pamela Teter; his father, Donald J. Teter; his daughters, Brandy Rogers and Nicole Hammer; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Marie Teter, and his brother, Robin Lee Teter.

Rodney will be remembered for his love of music, his many interests, and the memories he leaves behind with those who knew and loved him.
