Kevin Paul Patrick, 36, Olathe, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2004, at home with his family surrounding him. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at The Daily Mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 West 143rd Street, Olathe, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to each of the children’s accounts, for Mackenzie and Megan, through UMB Bank at 20652 West 151st St., Olathe, KS 66061 or Kansas City Hospice at 12006 West 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, KS 66215. Kevin was born in Redwood City, California on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 1967. Raised in Boise, Idaho he earned his B.A. from Boise State University. He moved to Kansas City in 1993 and worked for DST Systems, Sprint, and found a true home at Garmin International in Olathe. Kevin’s passions were outdoor adventures including, fishing, hunting, camping, cycling, and hiking for the perfect fishing hole, but fly fishing was his Chi. With his patient manner, nothing made him happier than to pass his knowledge and passions on to his family, friends and especially his children. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathleen (Kathy), and children, Mackenzie and Megan, all of the home; mother and stepfather, Stella and Ralph Gundelfinger; father, Vern Patrick; sister, Christa Patrick; mother and fatherin-law, Ruth and Dan O’Brien; brotherin-law, Kevin O’Brien and extended family and friends.
