Jacob Michaelis

Jacob Michaelis, 86, DeSoto, KS, formerly Mound City, KS passed away October 22, 2005 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, Ocotber 27 at Federated Church, Mound City, KS. Interment will follow at 4:30 pm at Corinth Cemetery, 83rd & Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS. Jacob served his country during WWII. He married the love of his life, Betty (Russback) on September 8, 1946. He was a builder and retired to Mound City, KS in 1976. Jacob was the last of 9 children! He was known by all for his wonderful gardening skills. Jacob was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty. He is survived by his sons, Terry and wife, Judy, Monte and wife, Pam; daugther, Kathy Graves and husband, Gary; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
