Mary Ellen Springer, 70, of Weatherby Lake, MO passed away January 7, 2006 at home after a short illness. She is survived by Fred, her husband of 47 years, and her son Peter.
Mary Ellen was born in 1936 in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Arline Palmer. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1954, and graduated from the Research Hospital College of Nursing in 1957. Mary Ellen went on to attend William Jewell College, where she was the student nurse, and she later worked as an operating room nurse at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mary Ellen was a loving homemaker who devoted herself to maintaining a beautiful home life for her family. She was a talented chef, decorator, and seamstress. Her hobbies included painting and gardening. She was also a talented tennis player. Mary Ellen is deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.
