Walter Rowe

Walter James Rowe, 68, formerly of Sylvania, OH, died Friday morning at the Woodbine Health Care and Rehab Center in Gladstone, MO after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his pa rents, Milton and Adelaide Rowe and brother, William Rowe. Surviving are sisters Lois Smith of Sylvania; Alice Young of Toledo and Bonnie Henkle of Ottawa Lake, MI; and 12 nieces and nephews. Mr. Rowe was a graduate of Sylvania’s Bumham High School in 1957. He served 4 years in the Air Force at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, MO and made his home in Kansas City, MO. He worked as a computer technician for 18 years at the United Missouri Bank and then several years at United Telecom, both in Kansas City. He will have a military salute and burial Kansas City, MO. Walter had many friends around the country who will miss him very much.
