Joan Benson

Joan T. (Woulfe) Benson, 69, of Pleasant Hill, MO, a native of St. Paul, MN passed away February 2, 2007 in Kansas City, MO from heart surgery complications. Joan was born Jan. 8, 1936 in St. Paul, MN to Timothy & Dorothy (Riley) Woulfe. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1957. In 1963 Joan married Ronald L. Benson in St. Paul. They had 3 children. They moved to Bloomington, IN in 1977. Upon retirement in 1988 from Crane Naval Weapons Support Center in Crane, IN, Joan and Ron moved to Missouri to reside near their eldest daughter. Joan was a great wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her and she will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Loretta Ryans & Patricia Woulfe. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughters, Lynn (Benson) & husband Brett Twaddle & granddaughters Nicole & Erin of Grain Valley, MO and Dawn (Benson) & husband Todd Grant & grandson Noah of Bottineau, ND; son, Ronald of Terre Haute, IN; and sister, Dorothy Branville of St. Paul, MN. A memorial service is pending. A private service was held Monday, Feb. 5th at St. Bridget Catholic Church.
