Alese Shafer

Alese Shafer, age 64, passed away at home on Sunday, February 11, 2007, in Raytown, Mo. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on April 1, 1942, to the late Leo and Alice Shafer. She lived the majority of her life in Boise, Idaho and Kansas City, Mo., where she practiced her career as a registered LPN, and homemaker. She is survived by her beloved son, Michael Fitzgerald of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Elwood (Connie) Sebert, Wayne (Barbara) Shafer and Dennis Shafer; and numerous nephews and nieces. Alese was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leo (Barbara) Shafer. A memorial service was held on Monday, February 12, 2007, at the Crossroads Hospice in Kansas City, Mo., to be followed by cremation at Heartland Cremation. Interment will occur in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The family has requested that donations be made in Alese’s name to the Crossroads Hospice of KCMO, 9237 Ward Pkwy, Suite 300, Kansas City, MO 64114.
