Jeanette Caliguri

Jeanette L. (Krysi) Caliguri passed away Monday, June 18, 2007. She is survived by her children, Claude (Linda) Lyles, Valerie (Greg) Drane, Patti (John) Wanko, Suzanne Frisella, Terri KrausKettenbrink, Jan (Bill) Hensley and John (Kathy) Lyles, 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and preceded in death by son Thomas A. Lyles; mother Ann Keathley and stepfather Meldon Keathley; father George Krysi and stepmother Mary Ann Krysi, and grandparents, both maternal and paternal. She was also the special friend of Jackie, Betty and Sally. While raising her family, she returned to school to pursue a nursing career. After graduating as an L.P.N. Jeanette worked at St. Louis University, where she did her clinical rotation, and at Washington University in the Clinical Research Department. She moved to Columbia, Mo., and worked at the Harry Truman Veterans Administration Hospital. In 1974, she moved to Kansas City, where she attended Penn Valley Community College to receive her associate’s degree as a registered nurse. She continued her education with another associate’s degree in art. While attending classes, she worked at Memorial Hospital in the E.R. Ms. Caliguri began working in 1980 at the Thomas J. Lipton Company as an occupational health nurse. She retired from there in 1991. She enjoyed her retirement and was a painter, gardener and traveler to Hong Kong, the Panama Canal and USSR twice, and cruises for relaxation. Jeanette moved back to the St. Louis area in 2004.
