Salvatore Giordano

Salvatore Giordano, 54, Kansas City, MO, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at The Kansas City Hospice House, after a long battle with leukemia. He was born January 20, 1953, in Kansas City, MO. The son of Salvatore and Rose (Genova) Giordano. His family moved to Miami, FL in the 60?s then returned to Kansas City in 1973. He graduated from Miami Central High, and was employed as a house painter until he became ill and had to be placed on disability. Sam had a lot of interests and was always a giving person, despite his illness. He gave so much to other people and was respected and loved everywhere he went. Sam became active in the Tenants Association and served as President. He was a great Italian cook and spent a lot of time cooking for friends and family. Sam was devoted to the Christian Studies and was an active member of his church, Sheffield Family Life Center. He led Bible Study at Opportunities Pavilion and at his church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Peter Giordano. He is survived by two Brothers, Phil Giordano, and John Giordano of Florida; two sisters, Margaret Spinello, Kansas City, MO, and Francine King, Gardner, KS; Sisters in Law Patricia Giordano and Francine Girodano; Ex-wife Marcie Walker of Virginia; Aunts Connie Porrello, and Sunday Siragusa, husband Mike; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Opportunities Pavilion, 11600 Holiday Dr., Kansas City, MO 64134.
