Betty Bowser

Betty Jane Bowser, 85, entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2007 at her home in Columbia. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday August 27, 2007 from 2-5 p.m. at the VFW Post 280, 1509 Ashley Street in Columbia. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery. Betty is survived by two children, Connie Test of Portland, OR and Robb and his wife Marty Bowser of Atlanta, GA, daughter-in-law, Janice Bowser of Columbia, a sister Marguerite Hastings of Moberly, Ten grandchildren Richard, Vicki, Kathy, Jackie, Wesley and Jamie of Portland, OR, Robin and Katie of Tampa, FL, Randy of Columbia and Karla of Austin, TX as well as 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray and her oldest son Jerry. Miss Betty was a long time resident of Columbia and a long time active member of the American Business Women?s Association and held many offices. She was also a longtime member of the local VFW. She will be missed by her loving family, friends and the VFW. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Lung Association, 811 Cherry Street, Columbia, MO 65201.
