JOSE’ ARTURO CONDE
Jose’ Arturo Conde, 76, Independence, MO passed away on Feb 26, 2008. He was born on July 1, 1931 in Santiago, Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1947, eventually settling in Independence, MO.
Jose’ attended Art Center, College of Design in Pasadena, California, and graduated in 1956 with a degree in Transportation Design. He worked as a designer for Ford Motor Company, Raymond Loewy Studios and Vendo Company.
Later, he formed his own company, Formel, Inc., in Kansas City, MO before retiring in 1991. After retiring, Jose’ enjoyed spending time visiting with his many friends over lunch.
He was especially fond of Latin music, Nascar racing and classy cars. Jose’ was preceded in death by his parents, Jose’ and Josephine and brother, Eduardo.
He is survived by: daughters & sons in law; Carmen Miller, Chaska, MN, Gina & Mike Springer, Indep, MO; sons & daughters in law, Jose’ & Marie, Stellenbosch, So. Africa, Dominic & Jane, South Salem, NY, Derek & Lorena, West Orange, NJ, Alexander & Tracey, Smyrna,TN; nine granchildren, Francesca, Nina, Ian, Reid, Giacomo, Mila, Marco,Todd, Ty; and brother, Clemente Conde; sister, Teresa Corredor, and many nieces and nephews.
