Ruth Sexton

Ruth Ida Sexton, 87, of Columbia, Missouri passed away April 4, 2010 at Boone Hospital Center. Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held later. Mrs. Sexton was born May 23, 1922 in Bentley, Michigan to John and Amy Harmeier. She married Shirley Mark Sexton on May 17, 1941. She was a homemaker that loved the outdoors, cooking, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Survivors include her husband, Shirley Mark Sexton of Columbia, three children, William Sexton of Columbia, Judy Gerzeski of Goshen, Indiana, Norma Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, two grandsons, Jeremy Sexton and Nicholas Sexton both of Bay City, Michigan, a sister, Elizabeth Hitz, of Midland Michigan, several nieces and nephews.

    Hi Bill and Dad, Consolences on mom and wife. I remember a nice looking lady, always dressed nice and looking good. She did a great job in the home. I still think of the Jeeps you had an fun we had. Good memories. I don’t hunt as hard as I used to but I hunt the same areas we did but now there is so many hunters I have to make reservations. Also, the deer are very safe. Once in a while I see Jeremy and Nick. They seem to be doing good. Hope all is well with you. Good health to you and your dad. Regards, Tom Gulvas
