Freddie “Butch” Ellis, Sr.

Freddie “Butch” Ellis, Sr., 65, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Butch was born on Feb 17, 1945. He lived in El Dorado Springs, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Augusta Ellis from Independence; wife, Linda Ellis of Mineola, TX; two daughters, Zinda Ellis of Liberty, MO and Zeborah Ellis of Gladewater, TX; a brother, Walter “Buddy” Ellis of Liberty, MO and a sister, Bernice Pierson of Independence, MO.

Survivors include his son, Fred Ellis, Jr. of Gladewater, TX; three sisters, Barbara Fossett of Independence, MO, Margaret Lugenbeel of Independence, MO, Perline Hufford of Lathrop, MO; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many nieces & nephews.

Butch was a retired truck driver, brick layer and a jack of all trades. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was loved by all who knew him.

Butch was a very loving and kind man who would do anything he could to help out. He was a country boy at heart and living there was where he felt he was meant to be.

A graveside service only is set for Tuesday, Jan 25 at 3:00 pm at New Hope Cemetery in Liberty, MO.
