Ruth Mariane Retallack, 94, of Columbia passed away February 26, 2012.  Ruth was born November 25, 1917 in Denver, CO to Clifford and Mabelle (Hertzman) Hinks.  No services are scheduled.  When someone would ask Ruth how she was, she would smile, laugh and say, “mean as ever.”  Survivors include her daughter, Linda Coffman (Chris); three grandsons; Devin, Hunter, and Gentry Coffman.

    Dea Linda Sue,
    I was checking google for family members and saw the obituary for your mom. I am so terribly sorry for you loss. She certainly lived a long life. But I know you must miss her. My heart goes out to you and your family.

    Was she living in Columbia near you?

    Jan,
    What a nice surprise to hear from you. Mom had been living in Columbia for about 7 years, the last 2 with us. She had gone downhill and developed dementia. In December she broke her hip and we moved her to a nursing home but she never came home.
