Harold Wayne Young

Harold Young, 71, Peculiar, MO, passed away at home on May 2, 2012. Harold was born August 26, 1940 in Marshall, MO, to Vaughn and Evelyn (McGuire) Young. He spent his younger years in Bunceton, MO, graduatingHigh School, in 1959. Later that same year he moved to Kansas City and began working at Armco Steel. In 1984 he started his own company, U.S. Truss Steel that he owned until 2006. In the 1970s he was a racecar driver, and raced at Riverside and the I-70 Speedway. Harold is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Betty Krumm. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rose, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, children; Kevin, Ty, Jodi, Toni, and Damion, and 9 grandchildren A memorial gathering will be held from 6- 8 PM, Monday, May 7, 2012 at Heartland Cremation, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133.
