James Alan Kirk died October 22, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. James was 58 years old when he passed. A private memorial service will be held in his honor. Surviving James are his children, Jesse Kirk and Katelyn Yoxtheimer and son-in-law, Zach Yoxtheimer; grandchildren, Saeda, Carolyn, and John; mother and father, Elizabeth and Ralph Kirk; brother, Kenneth Kirk; sister and brother in law, Alice and Steve Lewis; nephews, Zach Miller and Colby Kirk; niece Cara McMillen, and many loving friends. James loved fishing, the outdoors and the beauty of nature. His joyous spirit and compassionate heart will be forever missed by his family and friends. Great thanks to the dedicated and devoted nurses and staff of Kansas City Hospice. Our family could not have endured this loss without their unwavering support. In recognition of their exceptional services and care, James’ family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Kansas City Hospice.
