Jeannine Dowler

Jeannine Dowler, 39, Independence, Mo passed away Dec. 31, 2015 at KU Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 6:30 -8:30 PM on Monday January 4, 2016 at East Alton Community of Christ Church, 23rd Street and R.D. Mize in Independence, Mo. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the church. Jeannine was born with Cystic Fibrosis and was used as a ‘poster child’ for the disease. Jeannine graduated from Truman High School in Independence, and worked as a phlebotomist and a nursing assistant before becoming ill. She is survived by her parents Gary and Irene Dowler, a brother Benjamin, maternal grandmother Doris Taylor, niece Jadyn Eisenlohr and a large extended family that will miss her. In Jeannine’s honor, please make memorial contributions to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  “Fly Free Butterfly.”
