Ralph E. Kinnett, 86, Raytown, Missouri, passed away January 9, 2016. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Raytown Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House – Family Room, Kansas City, Missouri.
Ralph was born September 17, 1929, in Lawrence, Kansas. Ralph worked for Armco Steel for 28 years. He also worked for Montgomery Ward and drove a school bus for the Raytown School District for 20 years. He was a founding member and Deacon of Raytown Church of Christ. Ralph was a Boy Scout Troop leader and coached little league baseball for many years. Ralph was in the Naval Reserves for 30 years. Ralph was a member of “The SWK Club.”
He will be remembered as an avid deer and duck hunter, a World War II history buff, and reader of Louis L’Amour western novels.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Betty “June” Kinnett, of the home; daughter & son-in-law, Pattie & Kelly Archer, Amarillo, TX; daughter & son-in-law, Nancy & Doug Shelton, The Colony, TX; son & daughter-in-law, Raymond & Karen Kinnett, Raytown, MO; daughter & son-in-law, Debbie & Randy Sloan, Blue Springs, MO; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin Kinnett, Corpus Christi, TX and sister, Lois Bunn, Independence, MO.

So sorry for your loss. I am sure he will be missed. He always seemed a little larger than life, and I don’t think I ever saw him without a smile. When my husband and I moved back to Kansas City, he was one of the first to make Mike feel right at home. Praying for God to bring peace and comfort to your hearts.
Our family extends our deepest condolences. I grew up across the street from Ralph and June and spent time with Ralph over the years listening to hunting stories and telling me about bird dogs, especially Toby. He was a great part of me growing up and I’ll miss him very much.
So very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of living next door to this remarkable family. I am lifting you all up in prayer. He will be missed.
He will always be the “real” Ralph to me and my children. Love and positive thoughts to all the family.
