Wm. Jean Rowden

Wm. Jean Rowden, 94, of Holts Summit, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 9, 2016 at Union Hill Baptist Church, 460 S. Summit Dr., Holts Summit, MO 65043. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Jean is survived by his children, Kathy (Bill) Suggett, Mark Rowden and Lynne (Chris) Harris, as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Union Hill Baptist Church.

    Your parents and Skip’s were so close, they were wonderful people and he thought so much of them. I first met them at church and they were so kind and friendly and sweet to me. We both have you and all your family in our thoughts and in our prayers.

    Wow, I can’t say how much I admired Jean. He was always so nice to me and taught me in Sunday School class at Union Hill Baptist Church. My mom & dad, Betty & Russell, loved Jean as a Christian brother. He was one of the last of that generation and will be sorely missed.
