As a kid, Roger was always my ‘cool’ older cousin. His mentoring was dubious by parental standards, but everything a young boy aspired to. He introduced me to live rock&roll, drag racing, Martin guitars, beer, cigarettes, great jokes, mechanics, dangerous practices with fireworks, etc. As we aged our habits and interests became more measured, our questions of life more probing, our commitment to the arts more passionate, and our love and enjoyment of each other continualing deep. I wish life and distance hadn’t separated us so in adult life, but I always carried him in my thoughts and heart, and always will. I trust he is renewing his adventures on a different plane, but I will miss his presence on this one. Love and peace to all the family. Roger is on his way. Farewell, cuz.

Roger was always smiling and happy to visit even if we hadn’t seen each other for years. He was a great friend to so many and will be missed. Love and blessing to his family. Rest in Peace and God Bless you, Roger.?

I’ll miss you my good friend! Roger was like a brother to me, he was a person who was a true friend, we would talk for hours on the phone. When I was down he would bring me back up, with his wisdom and humor! I taught Roger how to make jewelry, he always remembered that. I taught him a lot but he would always find a better way, ha!, he was a teacher! I am going to miss our many Politics & Religion conversations over the phone! I gmailwas his Best Man when June &Roger were married and felt honored. He really loved his Children and Grandchildren, we talked about them a lot over the phone. He always gave me a lot of advice! The last time we talked he talked about making a road trip to see me in Arizona! Roger will truly be missed, he was a Real Friend! Rest in Peace My Brother! I’ll be sure to be there in May when his Ashes are scattered, when the Roses are blooming!

I meet Roger while I was the manager at John Calvin Manor. I will miss our “extended” discussions on theology. Rodger’s relationship with God was very important to him. I’m quite certain he is very busy in heaven getting the answers to all the questions he had for God. May God bless and give you all “the peace that passes understanding.”

Roger came into Cartridge World-Lee’s Summit, I’d say, monthly. He always wanted to leave a tip and wouldn’t take “no” for an answer no matter what we said. What a sweetheart!

I got to know Roger through Dave Becklean. I always found him enjoyable, never saw him upset and easy to talk to. I would call him occasionally to see how he was doing and he always appreciated it. He was a good person to know. He and I and Dave always had fun stories to tell.
