David Lynn Baker

David Lynn Baker, 73, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away December 13, 2016 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa. Graveside services will be held in March of 2017 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pageland, South Carolina. Mr. Baker was born November 27, 1943 in Lancaster, South Carolina.

David served in the U.S. Army and government services for over 42 years, joining the Army at 17. He loved all animals and made a strong impression wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his wife Kwi Son Baker. They were married for 37 years.

Survivors include sons Mark (Mary) and Jeff, daughter Min Vrana (Ken) and grandchildren; Kayla and Brook Baker, Johnathan and Jacob McNett,  and Natalya and Catlaina Vrana, sister Delores Deaton and brother Mickey Baker.

    Min, I only knew Dave briefly, but long enough that he touched my heart in a special way. It was an honor to meet him. I’m just sorry I couldn’t be there more for you and him in those last days. Peace be with him.
