Maud E. Shelton

Maud Ella Shelton, 88 years, 1 month and 20 days, died on Tuesday March 21, 2017. A memorial service will be held at Bromwell Lounge, Foxwood Springs, Raymore, MO on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10 AM.

Maud was born on January 27, 1929 to Harry Morris and Crystal (McConnell) Morris, in Blue Springs, MO. Maud was married to Paul Shelton and was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Crystal Morris; husband Paul; niece Cheryl Ann Contreras; sister and brother-in-law Erma and Chaz Contreras; nephew, Ed Morris and niece Karen (Contreras) Jones.

She is survived by her niece-in-law Kathleen Morris, great niece Jennifer (Morris) Johnson and husband Erik, 2 great-great nephews Leif and Hakon Johnson, Kingsville, MO; great-nephew Jeff Morris, Kansas City, MO; nephew-in-law Bobby Jones, Oak Grove, MO; nephew Toby Contreras and wife Sherwyn of Lee’s Summit, MO, 2 great nephews Alex and Daniel Contreras, Raytown, MO; nephew Richard Shelton and wife Ronna of St. Joseph, MO.

Maud and Paul enjoyed spending their time fishing on their pontoon boat at Lake Jacomo, in Blue Springs, MO. Maud retired from the Kansas City, MO City Hall. Maud loved getting together for family birthdays, holidays and picnics and loved celebrating her 29th birthday each year. Two of her favorite meals were fresh caught crappie and Contreras family tacos.

Maud will be greatly missed. Her family would like to thank Foxwood for their assistance with her care throughout the years and the Brookdale Hospice staff. Donations may be made to the Fellowship of John at Foxwood Springs.
