Thelma Erlene Hurt, 74, Independence, Mo passed away August 26, 2017.
A visitation will be held at 1:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at New Hope Community of Christ Church, 220, W. Moore Street, Independence, Mo 64050.
Thelma was born September 27, 1942 in Coffey, Missouri and lived in Independence for many years. She worked for H&R Block before her illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Hurt, and brothers; Larry, Gene and Kenny Nelson.
Thelma is survived by her daughter Belinda Wright, grandsons; Matthew, William and wife Ashley Vereecke, great-grandaughter Lydia, sisters Sandra Kay Castro and husband Phillip, Nola Jean Banta and husband Mitch, and many nieces and nephews.
