Your Father was a great man. Worked for him on Raytown Police Dept. He was a good man to work for and stood up for his men when it was needed. He loved his wife and had a great sense of humor.
I will always remember the fishing trips at Bennett Springs and camping trips at Pomme De Terre. Even though he was a quiet man, he always had a smile and a good morning handshake.
Susan. You and your whole family are in our prayers. We loved your Dad. He was such an amazing man and father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and friend. I will always remember his beautiful smile and warm heart. He will be missed by your whole family and friends but we know where bnb he is and he is reunited with the love of his life your Mama. We love each and every one of you. You know you all are our family. Big love and hugs to all of you. Love Sis and Rick and family.
From the 1st day we met his son Dan we loved him so it easy to see why, see his dad had the kindest and sweetest soul. Everyone will miss his presence but we are so thankful he is free of limitations and back in the arms of his wife on the eternal vacation forever.

I had the pleasure to know and work with Floyd at the Raytown PD, during the 7O’s and early 80’s. He was one of those special people who made a positive impact on everyone he came in contact with. I know he will be deeply missed. May he RIP!

I know he will be missed by his family and many friends he made through his life. He was a great neighbor for years and always had that nice slow smile.
I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Susan, I’m so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers. There’s nothing to say to ease your pain, just know he is with God now and no longer in pain. Let me know if I can do anything. Love you.
Our hearts go out to you and your family. Although I don’t know exactly what to say, I want you to know that I am with you in thought and wish you comfort and peace as you remember Floyd D. Collins.
I had the pleasure of working with Floyd Collins for over twenty years in the field of law enforcement.
He was respected by all who knew him. Soft spoken, he carried out his duties as a commanding officer with dispatch and discipline.
Floyd and I deer hunted and fished together many years in Davies County along with fellow officers. Many memories and stories could be told of those days. When deer season opened this year Floyd and I had an occasion to talk and we both decided we couldn’t climb up to a tree stand and setting on the cold ground didn’t encourage us much either. Age has a way of doing that.
To the Collins family, Lea and I convey our deepest and sincere sympathy. You will miss Floyd as well as all who knew him.
But he now joins his wonderful and loving wife and they shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Captain Floyd Collins was a great police commander and a great person too. He cared about his police family and tried to use events as a teaching moment of how to be a better police officer and a better person. What a nice guy. Rest in Peace Floyd, our brother in blue.
Barbara,
So sorrry to hear of your loss.
