Miriam Ulonda McKesson, 53 of Raytown, Missouri passed away on December 18, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 28, 20017 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 1:30pm-2:00pm.
Ms. McKesson was born in Washington, D.C. on January 3, 1964 to Mr. Bobby McKesson and Mrs. Betty McKesson. Miriam was born with a developmental disability and she had numerous health problems throughout her life. In spite of these battles, Miriam had a zest for life and made the most of every moment she was given. One of her proudest accomplishments was graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado. Miriam enjoyed many activities with listening to music, bowling, drawing, spending time with family, solving puzzles, crocheting/knitting, and watching tv/films as some of the most preferred. Miriam was a Special Olympics athlete who won many medals in bowling. Also, Miriam was a lifelong enthusiast and fan of Michael Jackson; to the point that she even had the thrill of her life when she was able to meet and even ride in the limo of MJ himself.
Despite the many trials Miriam endured, she remained an extraordinarily loving and optimistic person. Miriam had an amazing faith in God and displayed a consistent love of christianity for all to experience. She greatly enjoyed hearing a sermon and to actively participate in worship services. Her legacy of love and unshakable faith ensure that Miriam will be sorely missed by those who love and were fortunate enough to know her. No doubt she is enjoying eternal life with Jesus her saviour.
Miriam is preceded in death by her mother Betty McKesson. Survivors include: her father Mr. Bobby Mckesson of Raytown, Missouri; her brother William McKesson of Denver, Colorado; her sister Deborah Davis and brother-in law Henry Davis of Raytown, Missouri; her sister Elizabeth Montagna and brother-in law Samuel Montagna of Aurora, Colorado and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
McKesson Family,
Miriam will be missed! I will miss her smile and vibrant personality. May you be comforted during this time as you remember the good times you shared with her. She is with the father and for that we can find comfort.
Love,
Mia
